Johnson County Programs
The Johnson County Juvenile Office offers a number of programs and service for youth who have been referred for status and delinquent offenses.
These educational programs are conducted in a group setting, and designed to address issues that led to the youth becoming involved with the juvenile justice system and to help them become productive young adults. Included in the array of educational classes are:

Programs and Community Services held at varying hours.
The Johnson County Juvenile Office offers community service as a means for youthful offenders to "pay back" to the community for their offenses.
Youth are matched with volunteer positions at nonprofit organizations in Johnson County, and assigned a specific number of hours to work for their community service.
In 2012, 37 youth were referred to the Community Service Program and provided 1,245 hours of community service. Community service sites in 2012 included:
Youth who are involved in the juvenile justice system frequently need help with schoolwork. The tutoring program provides a certified teacher to help youth catch up and improve their academic performance.
